I bought tickets to a May 15th pre-screening of Star Trek: Into Darkness the other day, so yeah, you could say I'm looking forward to it :P

That does look very bad ass. I'm hyped for that as well.

Cumberbatch is one of my favourite actors - right at the top with Tom Hiddleston - and I'm super excited to see him as a villain. Shakespearean-trained actors are always so incredibly dynamic in those roles.

On a more entertainment-based level, the next film I plan on seeing is "Jack the Giant Slayer." It doesn't look incredibly good, but it looks like it'll be a neat diversionary flick.

I'm also intrigued about 'Only God Forgives'.

Ryan Gosling teams up with Nicolas Winding Refn again (They did 'Drive' together in 2011).

Gritty, violent, anti-heros, Thailand.

Right up my alley.

Only a 20 second clip available....

Yeah... World War Z looks like the kind of movie that will give me nightmares for months... but This is the End, I'm SO in! Especially since Baruchel and Franco are both in it!

edit: Also, the This is the End trailer, do they have a box in the background that says "condoms"? :P Edited by marg85

DS9 was the best Star Trek series.

I'm a bit of a Trekker, if you will.

And you're short.

Neither of us have any say in the matter.

Sometimes your words hurt, Kryl. :(

But not really. I loved TNG as well, but Wesley Crusher is perhaps the most hateable TV character of all time.

Battlestar Galactic kicks the pants off of Star Trek boys. I used to love Star Trek, but watching the character development and decent special effects in BSG, it's not even close. I highly recommend BSG. It's like the Wire meets Star Trek!

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers

Read a bit about this a couple of days ago...and it sounds like an interesting idea.

Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) plays Eleanor Rigby. James McAvoy, her husband. Basically, they are in a lousy marriage...and I'm guessing something happens to her based on the title. I'm not sure if they're making the movie as a 2 parter or filming the same movie twice, but the premise is, 2 movies will be filmed...one from his point of view, and one from hers.

This might end up being pure garbage, but if it's handled correctly, and if the script is written and handled in a smart way, this could be very, very interesting.

No trailer that I know of yet. I think it's slated for a late 2013 release at this point. Edited by Krylian

Speaking of Eleanor Rigby... has anyone seen the Documentary "Paul McCartney Really Is Dead"? It's a conspiracy documentary on how they believe Paul died in 1967 and replaced him with Faul McCartney. They show all the symbolism in the Beatles album covers and hidden lyrics that allude to this death. It's actually fairly entertaining. It's on Netflix if anyone is interested.

Full international trailer was released:

And Gibby, can't say I agree about Battlestar. I saw a few episodes and found it tedious. Didn't stop me from getting random text messages with the human population count sent to me from a friend though....

Once I decide to watch a movie I avoid trailers like the plague, the new Star Trek is one of those for sure. :D

Took my 9 year old to see it on Sunday night.

The 3D was subtle and didn't really add that much IMHO but I didn't go for the 3D. It's a classic that needs to be seen on the big screen.
