Halifax Mooseheads opening their playoff run tonight.

 

Up 10-2 after 2 to Saint John Sea Dogs. Mackinnon has 4 points , Douin 5 assists, and Marty Frk (Red Wings prospect) has 7 points.

Leivo had 3 assists in Kitchener's win against Guelph. Sparks was pulled after giving up 5 goals in the same game.

 

Biggs was pointless but a +1 in Oshawa's win.

I'm amazed Saint John are even in the play-offs this year. They got pumped 11-2 when I saw them in the 'fax pre-Xmas.

16 of the 18 teams in the OHL make the playoffs, that's why.

 

Blades down 2-0 in their series against the Medicine Hat Tigers after 4-1 and 3-0 losses.

Their leading scorer would have been 10th on the Mooseheads. They had 6 30 goal scorers. That's just silly...

Sea Dogs goalie puts on a clinic, but Mooseheads scrape out a 2-1 win. Shots 45-15 Mooseheads. Mackinnon and Drouin both pointless.

Halifax defeat Gatineau Olympique in game 1 of round 2 7-0. Moose 5-0 in playoffs so far.

 

Nate MacKinnon had 4 assists.

Owen Sound beats Plymouth 3-1 to tie their series at a game apiece.

Portland and Seth Jones are up 2-0 on Spokane in the WHL western semifinal series. Ty Rattie has been picking things up offensively quite a bit with a hat trick in game one.

 

Goalie Mac Carruth also notably broke two records with the 3-0 win in game 2. He now holds the club record for playoff shutouts with his fourth, but is the all-time WHL leader in playoff wins with 39.

Mooseheads defeat Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-4 in game 2 of the semi-finals. Marty Frk with the OT winner.

 

Moose now 10-0 in 2013 playoffs.

Mooseheads win the Presidents Cup. 4 games to 1 over Baie-Comeau.

 

Jonathan Drouin is playoff MVP, was also regular season MVP.
