Recommended Posts

The World Junior selection camp roster has been posted.

Wild's Matt Dumba is the only NHLer on the list, and Frederik Gauthier is the only Leaf prospect to make the cut.

Here's the full roster

Goaltenders

Zachary Fuchale, Jake Peterson

Defencemen

Griffin Reinhart, Chris Bigras, Matthew Dumba, Aaron Ekblad, Josh Morrissey, Adam Pelech, Derrick Pouliot, Damon Severson

Forwards

Josh Anderson, Jonathan Drouin, Frederik Gauthier, Felix Girard, Bo Horvat, Charles Hudon, Scott Laughton, Curtis Lazar, Taylor Leier, Anthony Mantha, Connor McDavid, Nicolas Petan, Sam Reinhart, Kerby Rychel, Hunter Shinkaruk

Also... jebus. Those kids were born in 1994 - I feel ancient.

Don't forget Connor McDavid, who was born in 1997.

The only thing that makes me feel better is knowing that you're older than I am, Pops ;)

No Max Domi? Still young, but interesting to not include him.

I'm interested to see who will be in nets for Canada.

Jake Paterson was there as 3rd goalie last year I believe and is older. But Zach Fucale has already won everything else there is for a CHL player to win, before he was even drafted.

I've seen a lot of Fucale playing for Halifax the last 2 years. He's very composed in goal. He does allow the occasional groaner, and lets out the occasional juicy rebound. He has kind of James Reimer vibe to him.

Yes. I was only in grade 7 for 9/11.

I think I was in grade 10 during 9/11...

I always enjoy looking at the heights of hockey players now compared to even 20 years ago. i think the shortest player on this team in 5'9" which we see as small now, but back in the 90's wasn't really uncommon... one of those silly little changes.

Jonathan Drouin takes a hit from behind in game against the Remparts. Head first into the glass. left game and will not retur.
