If Subban doesn't make the team...

1) Does Montreal riot?

2) How long until somebody plays the race card?

I have a feeling Bobby Ryan won't be picked again.

That would be amazing. Canada trolls the US and puts Ryan on a line with Getzlaf and Perry. Ryan scores the gold medal goal against Murica in the final.

I'll be disappointed that he's not.

You really figure they are going to go with 5 right-handed d-men?

I think Nash will be there, he's been looking good since returning

Also think Giroux has been making a case, would take either of those over Hall

Luongo is out, possible high ankle sprain.

how long a training camp do they have before the start?
do you think the players go easy on them in the league in the run up to the olympics? personally i don't think so
do tha US and Canadian sides take well to the bigger ice? as passing is opened up, not much use for fourth line bangers, might as well take 3 lines worth of first team first liners and one checking line

I think they only have a practice or two before the games start. Hence, you have teams picking duos (Getzlaf/Perry, for example) to try to have instant chemistry.

Forgot Giroux.

Drop Hall.

I guess if Luongo is out, Crawford gets in.

You would of thought the nhl would want their national sides to do well and give them a month to prepare properly you don't want to take a group of players who play different styles with their clubs then force them to play as one fluid unit in a major competition

That is the exact opposite of what they want. The NHL is losing money by shutting down the NHL for the 2 weeks not to mention the repercussions if a player gets injured at the Olympics. The only part of the Olympics the NHL looks for is to grow the game internationally other than that they would prefer to make money. The players are the ones who want to go represent their country and play on the highest stage of sports.
