The 50-contract limit is going to be a hurdle with 3 dead contracts. No room for low ceiling prospects.

Marlies win Game 1, 4-1. 

Brennan, Nylander, Soshnikov & Brown scored. Bibeau with the win. 

Game 2 tomorrow.

This was quite the win for the Marlies, Bridgeport has 3 recognizable names of which 1 is Matt Finn meanwhile the Marlies have a team with 4 career AHL lifers, 3 of which have extensive to some NHL experience.:blink:

3-0 for the Marlies in Game 2. 

Connor Brown with 2, Ben Smith with a single. Shutout for Garret Sparks. 

Marlies can complete the sweep on Thursday at Ricoh.

Marlies rebound from a 4-1 deficit to defeat Bridgeport 6-4 to complete the sweep.

Connor Carrick had 3 goals, 2 assists. Brennan, Hyman and Loov also scored. Bibeau gave up 4 goals on 12 shots before being lifted. Sparks stopped 12 of 12.

Marlies outshot Bridgeport 43-24.

Marlies advance to the 2nd round to face the Albany Devils.
