Jays acquire utilityman Yangervis Solarte from the Padres. Plays all four infield positions with relative competence. Switch hitter.

Depth is important, and the Jays have added depth, but I'm really not comfortable with our primary pieces in the middle infield.  This is definitely an improvement over Barney and Goins, but it's not gonna really matter too much if/when Tulo and Travis fail.

Meh, cheap outfield depth. He's better than Bautista.

This.

When the Jays are out of it then can flip him for a prospect at the deadline.  Hopefully he mashes at Rogers Center.

Vladimir Guerrero will go to the Baseball Hall of Fame as an Angel.

...That's disappointing...

I'm sure MLB has their finger print all over that.

I'm gonna miss the voice.  I started following the Jays in '85 and it was always Tom & Jerry...then just Jerry....now Wilmer.  Fuck...that's depressing.

Would've been nice if he did a farewell tour, but I guess he had every intention of being the voice of the Jays in 2018.  Too bad.
