Simmons is saying upper management wants Babcock to change his ways in order to stay head coach.

Now there is humour for you:)

Upper management as in Shanny or as in Bell/Rogers?

Babs is in the drivers seat. Moneys his regardless. His huge ego and being the first Leaf coach to win a Cup in 50+ years will be the only thing that makes him change.

Well, he may find that to stay in the game he must change regardless. Much like John Tortorella did.

Anyone else worried about the Matthews' surgery announcement. It wasn't the main part. But they said he was still experiencing back pain. That worries me about him. Sounds a bit injury prone.

He's played in 86% of games in his career. He's fine.

For now, his body is young and can probably for the most part play through injuries. However I hope I hope I'm wrong, once he gets older and had a bit more wear and tear on him, will his body break down?

Only have to worry for the next 5 years. Then he's gone I bet.

His injuries have been largely due to blunt force, I'm not sure it's an indication wear & tear will have a big impact on him.

six footer, 180+ pounds, shoots left.

Never a bad signing.

Outside chance to make to Leafs and if not he can help the Marlies.

We need some cheap surprises to help our budget

Another playoff game, another game with Bruins getting away with murder.

Marchand wraps his stick around Williams head. Williams gives him a face wash and gets the only penalty. Bruins score on ensuing PP.

You know a Boston vs San Jose final is going to make  Bettman ejaculate. The writing is on the wall.
