Brian Burke states that around the time he was fired from Toronto he was going hard for Luongo.

He backed out when Vancouver asked for Gardiner, Kadri, and 2 firsts.

One those firsts would have likely been the pick that got the Leafs William Nylander.

Ugh, I'm glad that didn't happen. The Leafs got a younger and nearly equivalent goalie for a fraction of that cost.

Trudeau states there will be no return to normal until a COVID19 vaccine is developed and distributed. Earliest timeline for that is 12-18 months.

If true it could be summer 2021 before major professional sports return.

Yikes.  I wasn't expecting things to start going back to the norm until September at the earliest but this is way beyond that.

I hope he is preparing everyone for a worse case scenario. Many factors could influence that timeline.

It's not going to be that long. It will probably take them that long to have a vaccine, but you can't keep people locked up for that long, especially because eventually the curve will flatten. Sports will be one of the first things to come back.

Lehtonen has experience and is comfortable playing the right side.

This Lehtonen signing caught me off guard, we weren't even mentioned in the running for this guy. Fun to watch.

And then play Boston...

Montreal, with 19 regulation wins, in 71 games would also be a playoff team.

It's a throwback to the 80's where 16 of 21 teams made the playoffs.
